Project-based class emphasizing creative and aesthetic aspects of multitrack music recording. Topics include microphone techniques, session protocols, incorporation of MIDI elements, sample replacement and augmentation, rough mixing, console automation techniques, signal processing, and ear-training for recording engineers. Laboratory required.
