Prerequisite: GEOL 1030/GEOL 1031 or GEOL 1040/GEOL 1041. A broad survey of caves emphasizing geologic aspects. Topics include cave geology, archaeology, biology, and conservation. Touches on the intersection between caves and various human uses including recreational, commercial, military, and criminal applications. Includes information about cave surveying, safety, and rescue.
