RIM 4300 - Advanced Pro Tools Techniques |
Prerequisites: Audio Production or RI majors; admission to candidacy; RIM 1230 or MUTH 1110 and RIM 3300 with C (2.0) or better. A detailed examination of digital audio workstation (DAW) techniques used in a variety of production environments. Comprehensive in-depth instruction in the use of Pro Tools hardware and software with emphasis on file management, stereo and multitrack editing, tuning, use of plug-ins, and delivery formats. Lab exercises to develop hands-on competency; hands-on proficiencies to assess abilities. Laboratory required.
